49 Days/ Pure Love Overview

Starring: (Lee Yo-won, Jo Hyun-jae, Bae Soo-bin, Nam Gyu-ri, Jung Il-woo, Seo Ji-hye)

Ji Hyun got into a car accident a week before marrying Min Ho, who happens to have an affair and business conspiracy with one of her best friends, In Jung.  However, Ji Hyun was not really scheduled to die so she (her soul) was given 49 days to travel.  She must collect 3 pure tears, definitely not from relatives in order to regain from comatose.  Along the travel, she was given rules and warnings to take cautions.  One was, NEVER REVEAL THE TRUE IDENTITY!  Along the way, she met Han Kang, who used to be her schoolmate.  This man hated her so much but it seemed like he is protecting now this soul who has been entering into the body of Yi Kyung, who happened to waste her life for 5 years.  She only does a few things:  sleep, wake up, eat nothing but noodles, and go to work.  She does not even know how to smile. Life was wasted because of losing her man, The Scheduler (Yi Soo), who sees to it that Ji Hyun’s 49 day travel would be successful or else real death would ultimately face Ji Hyun.

The story is a real eye-opener to those who want to end life immediately and to those who are lazy.  How grateful it is to wake-up, eat, do household chores, and go to work.  How touching it is to welcome the sun, catch the leaves that fall down from the autumn trees, and breathe in the smell of the blossoming flowers.  What a relief to say I love you and sorry to someone; welcome strangers as special someone departs; and wear a smile everyday with peace from the heart.

Witness how search for pure love (with 3 tears) is not that easy to find.  Solve the mysteries among the characters’ real relationships, friendships, and love triangle.  Discover that there is more to see in life and HOPE really is a word that exists.
